Interesting diary for 1946 has entries from Patricia Ann Day (Patricia Day Rowland), who was maybe in 8th or 9th grade in Bangor, Maine at the time. The book was published by the Girl Scouts and has educational and historical info about well-known people and their influence on the world, maybe to inspire the dairy writer. The entry blanks are small, so the ones that are filled in have only a few sentences or thoughts for the day. Perhaps half or more of the entries are filled in, including a month at the Girl Scouts’ Camp Natarswi in Millinocket, where a beloved counselor named Ruth Adair Frazier or “Fray” is mentioned many times. Other entries are about boys, movies, dances, basketball games and practices, friends and family. The book is very small, about 3″ x 5″, and 192 pages.
